Ingredients
- 2 pcs Mi URAI Original
- 200 g dates, deseeded
- 400 ml water
- 2 pcs cardamom
- 2 pcs cloves
- 3 cm cinnamon stick
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 100 g butter
- 100 g palm sugar
- 2 eggs
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp vanilla powder
- For Sauce:
- 75 g dates, deseeded
- 150 ml milk
- ½ tsp vanilla powder
- 2 cm cinnamon stick
Instructions
- 1. Cook Mi URAI according to instructions on pack. Set aside.
- 2. In a blender, blend deseeded dates with water.
- 3. Mix blended dates with cardamom, cloves and cinnamon stick. Cook and bring it to a boil. Take out spices and add baking powder. Mix well and let cool.
- 4. Beat butter, palm sugar, eggs, salt and vanilla powder until smooth.
- 5. Add Mi URAI and boiled blended dates. Mix well.
- 6. Pour batter into a buttered mould.
- 7. Steam for ± 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- 8. For Sauce: In a blender, blend deseeded dates, milk and vanilla powder.
- 9. Cook sauce in low heat and add cinnamon stick. Stir until sauce is thickened. Set aside.
- 10. Serve pudding with its sauce.
