Simple Dandan Noodle

Ingredients
- 2 pcs Mi URAI Original
- 1 pack bokchoy, blanched
- 2 tbsp scallions, finely chopped
- Chili oil:
- 30 ml sesame oil
- 200 ml cooking oil
- 2 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
- 2 pcs star anise
- 1 inch stalk of cinnamon
- 1/2 medium onion
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 50 g chili flakes
- Salt to taste
- Beef topping:
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
- 250 g ground beef
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp five spice powder
- salt to taste
- Sauce:
- 2 tbsp sesame dressing
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp black vinegar (optional)
- 1 tsp garlic, chopped
- ½ tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp chili oil
- A ladle of Noodle water
Instructions
- 1. Cook Mi URAI according to instructions on the package. Set aside.
- 2. Make Chili oil: put on chili oil ingredients to the pan over low heat. Set aside
- 3. Make Topping: heat oil in a wok pan over medium-high heat, add ground beef, cook until changed color, add hoisin sauce, soy sauce and five spice powder. Season with salt and pepper. Stir well, set aside
- 4. Place all the Sauce ingredients into a bowl, mix well, then add Mi URAI, bokchoy. Top with beef and sprinkle scallions
